<p>ok got it. the first thing that pops up in my mind is creating a
function that cleans everything up and then close the program.
then I can call it with a combination of pads pressed on my
controller.</p>

I'll try to be a bit more clear. I'm using a MIDI controller
and my script controls its LEDs. the point is, when I remove
the shread, the LEDs remain on. so I'd like to turn them off
when the shread is removed.<br>
