granular music recommendations?

Yo All....I'm trying to download and study some of the best music out there which features granular synthesis. I haven't heard much yet beyond Iannis Xenakis, but I'd love to know what your favorites are. Perhaps it would be worthwhile putting up a torrent of the same. If possible, kindly provide links to mp3 files or any other type of free downloads. UAna autoCorr, xCorr and ZeroX

Hi users, I am writting a program to extract audio features but the autoCorr, xCorr always give me a 0 value. ZeroX always give me 0.5 value. dynamic linking chuck howto?

hi there is there anywhere some sort of description of how to do the dynamic linking to other libraries? Eg. specifically I would very much like to work with the c++ library "Eigen" within a chuck file, is this possible?, if yes are there any hints about how to do this. Already for a while `I read on this page http://chuck.cs.princeton.edu/doc/program/stdlib.html that the documentation is coming, so maybe there is a drawer to pull it out of.?? Greetings Vilbjørg

midi ports

Hi! I'm new to this list (and again to ChucK), so hello first ;) Is there a way to keep midiports 'open'? I can specify the number of audio io's when starting chuck --loop, can I do the same with midi io? I'm using LASH on linux. My objective is to start ChucK and connect a midikeyboard to it. In previous versions (used dracula before) a midi-port came up in LASH when I started a .ck-file that used a MidiIn-object, and stayed open. In the current version, the ports disappear once the program finishes. Thanks for any hints! - Philipp

LiSa => anything but dac?

Hi all. I'm not able to get sound from LiSa unless it connects directly to the dac. This simple example gives me nothing but silence: Noise n => LiSa lisa => Chorus c => dac; // lisa => dac works 0.1 => n.gain; 2::second => lisa.duration; 1 => lisa.record; 2::second => now; 0 => lisa.record; 1 => lisa.play; 2::second => now; Is there something I'm overlooking here? Hey chucksters -- For those of you in/around NYC this weekend, this might be of interest: ---------------------------- Composition/Production a workshop on the sound of music The Columbia University Computer Music Center is hosting a day-long workshop on issues arising from 'production': the impact of contemporary recording studio and digital-signal processing tools in crafting the sonic presentation of music. We will be especially focussing on the use of these tools, how they influence our musical creativity and the role recording technologies play in shaping the work we do. Towards that end, we have invited a group of musicians and researchers involved in music technology to help lead a community discussion of these issues. All are welcome to participate in this event.
