hilarious, sometimes; i was trying something last week with TCP, checking timing, and, sure enough, messages would always be received, usually in a timely fashion, but others would go get a cup of coffee before arriving. not very helpful in a musical context!
paul lansky's piece for PLOrk had the performers manual sync their clocks; they'd conduct a downbeat and hit their spacebars together. totally radical.
