Hi, I’m not sure, but this seems to have to do something with your soundcard-driver. You probably need ASIO drivers, check out ASIO4ALL if you do not have an expensive soundcard… Then you will also need a ChucK version compiled with ASIO, to be found somewhere on this page: http://electro-music.com/forum/topic-18931.html.

 


Yes. This will make a very big difference in latency and on top of that the regular Windows drivers don't support multi-channel audio (for spatialised pieces or mixing on a hardware mixer, etc). Hopefully the next update will address this and give us "official" ASIO support because as it stands the Windows ChucK situation is a bit problematic. We can all think what we like about Windows but 90% or so of the world's computers run it so we might as well make ChucK work nicely there.
