yes, I thought so. Perhaps there is some way to workaround the clear() problem. I remeber it causes a RT error in jack, which I don't understand, setting some bytes to 0 shouldn't do any harm here. You could try to disconnect jack first (which means disconnect dac and/or adc), then clear() the buffer, then reconnect. It all depends on what you want to accomplish. I think to clear the whole loop, it shouldn't be a problem to disconnect audio io, right?
