I can pipe m-A to Quartz via Soundflower, but then I am not able to hear it. I tried combining Soundflower and the regular audio output by making an aggregate audio device with OS X's Audio/Midi Set-up. This solution doesn't make sound AND doesn't affect Quartz.

Yeah, Soundflower is what I would use for this. Set miniAudicle output device to Soundflower (2ch) and Quartz composer's audio input to the same.
