Thanks for adding.

Hi Im Maria Crux; thanks for adding me! Im working in the book of ChucK: https://www.amazon.com/Programming-Musicians-Digital-Artists-Creating/dp/161... Not for publicity. Just to accelerate where Im looking for initial information. Thanks again! Maria.

For a lot of mailing lists, one unsubscribes by sending an email with the
word "unsubscribe" to an address formed by adding "-request" to the end of
the name part of the mailing list address. It's very easy to slip up and
send that email to the mailing list itself. So this person was _trying_ to
unsubscribe, and by now has probably done so, but that explains the weird
one-word email.
People come and go from mailing lists all the time; we all have only so
much time and energy to pursue all of our interests. I seriously doubt it
has anything to do with your mail to the list (except perhaps in the
incidental sense of reminding him he was still subscribed).

Don't worrie Forrest Cahoon, and Forrest Curo, I now understands perfectly
why the "unsubscribe" word. I know it has nothing to do with me.
By the way I only has to say that Im following the Ge Wang ChucK book, and
perhaps in a month or two I will be asking concrete things in here. About
ChucK obviously.

Hi everybody and sorry for the hassle.
I have been trying to unsubscribe from this list for months, maybe years.
In the old days it seemed like writing the word unsubscribe in the headers
of these lists used to work fine.
I have tried many ways and at sometime, somebody told me guided me to an
unsubscribe button somewhere that never worked.
Any hints?
Thanks,
g
