What kind of error message did you receive when you tried to run the version from the website?
Also, just checking, you're not by any chance using a PPC G5?

Hello,
first post here. Looking forward to learning ChucK. :) I have a G5 running OSX 10.5.4. The current version of ChucK is apparently good for 10.5 and later. Tried that - didn't work. I see all the older versions on a separate page. Which one should I try?
Thanks for any help,

Hi Tom, Welcome to Chuck! We currently do not provide executables for PowerPC architecture, and don't actively test/support it in the source releases either. Though it looks like this isn't clearly stated anywhere in the installer or website. If you have access to a newer Intel-based Mac available with Mac OS 10.5 or later, that should work just fine. spencer On Tue, Aug 5, 2014 at 3:27 PM, Tom Charles-Edwards < tomcharles-edwards@fsmail.net> wrote:

I will say that I built ChucK without problems on PPC Linux, so if you're able to build it from sources, the PPC architecture *probably* won't prevent compilation, but then I don't know about Mac. PPC OSX is a lonely planet these days. Joel On 08/05/2014 05:37 PM, Spencer Salazar wrote:
