Just an update on my question about writing to text file. I just found this thread that pretty much answers it: https://lists.cs.princeton.edu/pipermail/chuck-users/2006-January/ 000293.html

Keep up the good work, ChucK is a really nice language. There are a ton of things missing, but the VM works as expected, is relatively stable, and the language is relatively easy to use. In fact, I am finding that because the language is still very small and well documented, it has been very easy to learn and get things going.

I look forward to the addition of file I/O and array.size() :)

This is not really an answer to your question, and not even chuck-related: But once upon a time, I had an idea to use my 386 laptop as a lo-fi visualization device, by connecting it with a serial port and sending data to be displayed on its screen. To come back to your question, I think I remember seeing the question on this list before, and I think the answer was it's on the todo list. (But I may be wrong on that.)

Can someone please tell me if it is possible to write text files, or any other files for that matter that are not audio files?

I would like to store a sequence of values that im generating someplace outside of ChucK so I can graph it or log it.
