With out the blackholes things only work when you connect things together through to a dac; I have found that the structure has been very flexible in more dynamic things as well as ChucK. It would be interesting to expand the default behaviour to include the built in Envelope functionality and the code is up on Github so please feel free. and yes open source is awesome!! This is really nice stuff! I like Scott's usage of blackhole for making signals persistent and continuous. The usage of GUI faders to avoid clicks and for expression is really cool too. For those of us not on OSX (or not inclined to sliders); when using buses as a sort of in-out matrix like Scott does when he writes; Provides basic connectivity to busses. function void connect(int, int)

we could have "connect()" place a Envelope between the two busses and have that ramp up when connecting, then down when destroying the connection. That too would avoid clicks and could create a sort of cross-fading with some extra effort.
