Re: [chuck-users] problems using quicktime synth
[You are forgetting to cc the list.] OK. The update to the QT version you have torched QT, but I suspected it has to do with the filesystem - I use the case-sensitive one. In the past, when this has been a problem, it has affected both PPC and Intel computers, people assuming it has to do with an installed sound component. Anyway, in order to test if it is QT or ChucK, you might try SimpleSynth with some MIDI gear. Hans On 11 Oct 2009, at 14:36, David Minor wrote:

If you go to Finder, click on the hard drive icon, and selects Info <cmd>-I, what does it say that the format is? - Alternatively, open Disk Utility, and check this.

Hi Hans,
I'd forgotten about SimpleSynth. If I set it's input to "virtual" I get
chuck playing through it. That's all I need for now. But if you think it's
valuable for your debugging, I'll rip the MIDI interface off of my
production machine and install it on my laptop to see what's going on. I'm
basically trying to set up a "mobile" chuck on my laptop so I can mess with
it whenever I want.
Thanks,
David

Perhaps it is a problem with ChucK then: not being able to address QT directly. Good you found a hack. Hans On 11 Oct 2009, at 15:33, David Minor wrote:
