There are many examples in the /examples/ directory that came with your download. Some are very basic, others like small pieces of music. Is that what you are looking for?

If you have trouble playing video files on Windows and resist installing Quicktime (I could see reasons for that) then the best solution might be to install VLC; a nicely basic player that plays (nearly) everything. https://videolan.org/vlc/ Hope that helps, Kas.
