Dear all, Due to increased unavailability of the primary ChucK site, we now have coast to coast mirrors! The main ChucK site at Princeton: http://chuck.cs.princeton.edu/ New left coast ChucK mirror at Stanford: http://chuck.stanford.edu/ These are synchronized from the same repository and should contain identical content. Hopefully at least one of these should be up at all times... Happy ChucKing! Ge!
Beautiful; When you have as many explosions as we do it makes perfect sense
to get back to the original idea of the internet as a redundant means of
communication in case one gets blown up ;¬).
Made your forum post a "announcement" (meaning it's at the top at all
times), BTW.
Yours,
kas.

Maybe someone could spare a sec and teach me some English and free me from puzzling. Are the above/quoted sentence semantically equivalent with "Hopefully at all times at least one of these should be up..."? (At least in math \forall and \exist are not commutative (i don't know the correct linguistic term for this) - that's why i wonder.)
English structure is somewhat contextual, Edwardian dreams of rigidity notwithstanding. Sometimes it's commutative, and sometimes it isn't. On Jul 5, 2008, at 9:14 AM, Steffen Juul wrote:

Yeah. Logically (skipping the "hopeful" bit) it parses to something like; For all moments (the number of mirrors that is up is a integer larger then zero) Which equates to what you said; For all moments( There is a mirror( that is up )) I don't have the proper logical signs on my keyboard, which is probably a good thing :¬) (pun intended).
