on a lighter/cheery note...
Hi all,
The Cybernetic Orchestra did some live-coding (ChucK) of Jingle Bells for our university's annual video holiday card!

Happy Holidays everyone!
Yours truly,

Dr. David Ogborn,
Awesome! That's a great spin on caroling. I'd love to see traveling bands of live coders on my block this holiday season. Mike -- Michael Clemow http://michaelclemow.com http://abattoirprojects.com On Monday, December 17, 2012 at 2:17 PM, David Ogborn wrote:

I agree, really nice! The comments from the YouTube community are also amusing. It's hard for modern music to elicit those kinds of feelings these days when everyone seems to have heard everything already.

Awesome; genuinely warm and fun. Can I borrow the audio? I'd like to use it in a radio show with other unusual Christmas songs. I'd attribute it, of course. Also; merry "solstice => now;" and a good "year => now;", everyone! Here is the annual ChucKmass tree in ascii-art; ^ / \ / \ / \ | | | | Cheers, Kas.

By all means! If the show isn't imminent I could prepare some of the later takes audio that didn't end up in the video and send them to you. As the orchestra progressed we strayed further and further from Jingle Bells, in a good way!... Yours truly, David

Hey David, I'll probably leave my house around 10pm CET, Sunday. Not sure whether that counts as "imminent", but I think you won't regret documenting something like this and, of course, others might enjoy it too. Thank you! Kas.
