No devices found for compiled API's
Hi there, I am trying to run Chuck on Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit. When no input file is specified the standard "no input files" message appears. When trying to run an example I get the message :"[chuck]: (via rtaudio): no devices found for compiled audio APIs!". I've taken a look at the rtAudio.cpp file but can't make any useful deductions. I definitely do have a sound device and have successfully used portaudio on the same machine - Any help would be greatly appreciated! Regards, Raymond
Ok so I found the correct procedure at this link, if anyone else has the
same problem, send them here :

Hi Kassen,
I'm new to the mailing list thing, so I'm not sure if I did it right but I
posted a follow up message after I came across the solution. Basically you
have to run jackd as well. I'm not sure if it's part of the general
procedure but that's what fixed it for me. Thanks for the prompt reply!

Raymond

Hi there,
I am trying to run Chuck on Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit.
Sorry, Raymond, but unless someting big changed recently that may well be the problem; I don't think 64bit support is done yet.
Yours, Kas.
