peth driver question, need help

I use peth driver with ixp1200, and meet this error message. this error will drop some output packet occasionally, who will tell me what is happend, thanks very much this error is below: $ insmod ue.o $ insmod octmac.o $ insmod giga_drv.o $ rs_udebug $ load $ ping 1.2.1.1 then I meet the error message like that: peth_start_xmit called peth_start_xmit: new descriptor = 0 Bad descriptor 0, dropping outgoing packet pethFreeDescriptor: descriptor = 0 pethFreeDescriptor: Bad descriptor 0 Best Regard

Problems with ixasl.o driver

Hello. I'm using IXP1200 evaluation board. Image of linux kernel and ramdisk are downloaded from IXP1200 linux how to (http://www.netwinder.org/~urnaik/ixp1200_howto.html). When I try to start one of the examples provided with Intel IXA SDK (example "Count_8_1") the ixstart script fais producing the following error messages: [root@Linux /nfs]$./ixstart ixsys_count_8_1.config >ixasl.o: unresolved symbol get_virtual_mem_map >library aces require ixasl driver. >ixasl driver does not appear to be running. >ixconfig: Resource Manager intialization failed >Wed Dec 31 20:19:11 1969 >rmlib.c, line 80: open failed: errno 2 get_virtual_mem_map symbol does not exported by kernel (i used ksyms utility to verify this). ix_time_real() problems

Hi, In our IXP project, we want to calculate the time spent in a particular program segment on StrongARM. The program is written in C++. What we did is using ix_time library like this: ix_error myfunction(...) { ix_time t1, t2, t3; int sec, nsec; ECK( ix_time_real(&t1)) ; /* some code here */ ECK( ix_time_real(&t2)); ECK( ix_time_sub(&t3, &t2, &t1)); ECK( ix_time_get(&t3, &sec, &nsec)); printf("sec=%d, nsec=%d", sec, nsec); } However, the nsec printed out sometimes has negative value. microACE with vxWorks?

Hi, I wanted to know whether the microACE style design is supported with vxWorks or not? In the SDK provided from Intel only the Linux SDK contains the microACE support. What things need to be considered while choosing between Linux and vxWorks? regards, Rashid
