Hi, I know Intel don't expect to carry further enhancements on IXP 1200 family, maybe that's why you don´t find the SDK. However you can get from the companion CD of this book: JOHNSON, Eric. Et. Al. IXP 1200 Programming. Intel Press. About the installation of the environment I think you will have a little headache, but don't give up. Hellow.. first thing u needde is a sdk(software development kit)...tht's the workbench where u can write ur programs for MicroEngine either in MicroCode or MicroEngineC.. u have to install this on the host processor, having windows XP or windows 2000.. Hi, I have recently started working on IXP1200 processor. I am tryin to install software on Windows PC. (windows XP). I need to know a) What are the tools I need to install? Where do I get them from? b) Are there any licences required? If so where do I get them from? c) Microcode and microengine compilations do they need separate set of tools? I also would like to understand what software is needed for IXP1200 Evaluation platform. I am very new to this project. I will be glad if someone can guide me in establishing the necessary environment for compilation/simulation/debugging in software simulator and on eval platform. Regards Malathi

Hellow, My project is to design and implement a firewall on IXP1200. Can anyone help me out with the StrongARM core programming and the interaction between MicroEngines and StrongARM and StrongARM and the Host processor. Actually i have to start wd. this part and any hints wd. b helpful. Any documents, tutorials , example code or website links...anything can b gr8..... Thanxs in advance...
