core programming using tornado..

Hellow, i'm tring to run an example code on tornado but facing with the following error on the tornado shell,while loading the object file of the example code... #################################################################### ld <test.o Loading test.o WTX Error 0x10140 (API_FILE_NOT_ACCESSIBLE) value = -1 = 0xffffffff #################################################################### before this the target server is running, vxworks image has been downloaded on to the target, checked the ftp log... i've tested the example code given on "http://www-2.cs.cmu.edu/afs/cs.cmu.edu/project/cmcl-prs/WWW/cap00/str_ueng/…" i even tried a simple c code, with just a printf but it's also giving the same error... changed the complier c++ compiler and assembler directives as stated on the above web-site.. can anyone help me finding the solution .... and what all libraries shd. i go through and frm where...and how can i integrate the MicroEngineC and the Core Functions.. ACE programming

Hi, I am a student of SJSU, CA. I will be grateful if any body can help me out. I have started my project on IXP1200, I need to build a rule based IDS on IXP1200. I need to know 1> is it only possible to compile/assemble and link using workbench for ACE programming, can we simulate the whole application on workbench without connecting to hardware? 2> I tried to do the hardware set up and I was able to mount the arm-be (*.uof) files, but when I tried to run the example ACE program using ./ixstart, it is giving the following error ixasl.o: unresolved symbol get_virtual_mem_map library aces require ixasl driver. ixasl driver does not appear to be running. ixconfig: Resource Manager intialization failed Wed Dec 31 20:01:40 1969 rmlib.c, line 80: open failed: errno 2 I tried somany ways, but could not solve it. 3> So please can anyone tell me using work bench what are the things I can do, Is it possible develop complete application for the ACE model or reference model to use with out the hardware. or any other suggestions. Simulation Error...

Hi, can anyone tell me that the LIFO used in allocating the buffer, when u need to transfer data frm RFIFO to SDRAM and the other one used for enqueuing and dequeing operationn are different or same... i'm using different LIFO's for the two operations....simulation is running fine for about 25000 machine cycles but after that it stops giving an error that an uninitilized data is read from sdram, or at times from sram.... not able to locate the error, has anyone of u faced the similar problem.... i have modified the code for chapter 9....transmit code is same.. Hello all, I'm new to IXP1200 and am having problems simulating the program used in chapter 5 of "IXP1200 Programming".I don't have the CD containing the project but I downloaded the source files from Internet(so have to manually set project settings in SDK which is probably the problem!!).In simulation the IXP fails to receive any packets at all with the Rx buffer filling up and the receive rate gradually decreasing to 0 Mbps.Here are the project settings: Ready Bus Sequencer Program: Rxrdy Mac 0, Txrdy Mac 0, NOP1, NOP1, NOP1, NOP1, NOP1, NOP1, NOP1, NOP1, NOP1, NOP1. Data Stream: 100 frames of length 38 of Ethernet IP assigned to Device 0 Port 0. IX Device Bus Simulator is enabled. Device is set to automatically receive packets on first clock cycle. Hi Mahin: Ok. I don't understand very well which is your testing architecture, but if you are using the ENP2505 board you maybe have some like mine. Because I haven't heard about ENP2505 with Tornado....maybe I'm wrong. My configuration is a Linux host which runs virtually a Windows 2000 in the same machine to run the Workbench and the ENP2505 board running Linux too. All of them installed in the same computer. If that is you configuration then I assume you have already installed VMWARE and can ping bw Windows and Linux Host. This is the first thing to do. To change the IP address you simply change them on the create_environment.rc. located on the same directory where bootixp is. Although there is no need to do this change.

Hi, I am new to VxWorks and Tornado.. I am using tornado2.2.1.. I started to tools--> target server --> configure I set in "Back End" as wdbserial and "Core files and symbols" as File --> C:\Tornado2.2\target\config\ixp1200eb\vxWorks.sym when I click Launch I the following tgtsvr (TestTarget@HostMachine): Fri Feb 04 16:40:27 2005 Checking License ...OK Connecting to target agent... succeeded. Attaching C++ interface... succeeded. Attaching elf OMF reader for ARM CPU family... succeeded. Error: rpccore backend client Timed out Can someone familiar with this error help me with this... I need to know why I get the error "Error: rpccore backend client Timed out" Thanks a lot. Mahin.

Timestamps in Microengine C

Hello Everybody, Can anybody tell me how to find the packet receipt rate using microengine C.Basically I need to know if there are any time related functions (such as gettimeofday) etc that I can use in order to find the rate at which the processor is receiving packets.Also i need to record the timestamp for the latest packet from a particular IP address.
