It's possible to do so without
rewriting the code and still working in the same application?
No, you'll have to rewrite the code. The assembler is different. Close to
ixp1200 put different.
As I said previously, I have not ported a code from ixp1200 to ixp2000 so I
can't tell about the extent of needed modifications.
Yours,
d.

Hi all,
Well, I worked first with the ixp1200 before the ixp2400.
The µcrode is nearly the same so you can rather easily port the code... some
instructions have changed so it should be considered. However in order to
correctly map and use the HW, an ixp2400 code is really different from an
ixp1200 one. Many features were added (next neighbour registers, qarray,
local memory, CAM) and so, for a standard use, the ixp2400 code is supposed
to be developped with a pipeline approach.
Regards,
Mathieu
