Problem booting VxWorks. Using ENP2505 Board.
Hi, I am new to VxWorks and need your best help as possible. The problem is, I have installed the ENP2505 board ( Host and Target are two seperate Windows 2000 machines, connected to each other by a serial cable (COM1 Port)). The target board (ENP2505) is in the PCI slot of the target Windows 2000 Machine. I did not connect the Target board to network. I set the ENP2505 board mode of booting to VxWorks Module. After the above setup, I opened Hyperterminal (COM1 Port) in Host Machine. Then I powered ON the target system. Now I get some thing like the following Init IXF440 MAC Addresses: succeeded. booting.. VxWorks Board Rev.: 00000000 CPLD Rev.: 000000B4 Value of Personality Register is 00000002 BSP IXP Version: 1.3.141, built on Aug 6 2002, 11:25:30 CPU ID: 6901C124 CPU Speed: 233 MHz Early serial debug initialized Init IXF440 MAC Addresses: succeeded. booting.. VxWorks Board Rev.: 00000000 CPLD Rev.: 000000B4 Value of Personality Register is 00000002 BSP IXP Version: 1.3.141, built on Aug 6 2002, 11:25:30 CPU ID: 6901C124 CPU Speed: 233 MHz Early serial debug initialized it goes on booting like this continuously. I don't know why !!?. If any of you had the same problem pls let me know where I went wrong. Also if possible kindly provide me with the initial seeting and booting VxWorks. Also here are some observation.. when I power on the target Windows 2000 Machine( the one that has ENP2505 board in its PCI slot)... I notice the LEDs glowing in ENP board , but there is no display in the MONITOR of the target Machine. I have Tornado, IXA SDK and ENP sdk.. I installed tornado first, IXA and then ENP SDK in my Host Win 2000 Machine... I also installed BSP for StrongArm in my Host system. Also if possible please provide me with reference materials if possible... your help in appreciated. I know that I make a simple mistake always... but I culdn't figure out.. Please help me. Expecting your reply. Thanks a lot for your help. Regards, Mahin.
