Re: [ixp1200] Functionality of A0 Silicon?
Thanks for your input Eric. Since you're from the manufacturer side, tell us how to fix the problem(s). Is there an upgrade path? Or we should just throw the board to garbage;-) How Intel can help us? Thanks, Rasit (P.S. I'm Loren's indirect(?) mentor in this project;-) According to Heaton, Eric D:
Loren,
Check out the latest IXP1200 Spec Update for info on exactly how much trouble you will have. ;) This document can be found on the IXA SDK, but if you need a copy, let me know. (The latest is dated June 2001.)

Hello List,
It would seem that I am lucky enough to have an Evaluation Kit with A0 Silicon.
I was able to glean this bit of information from a helpful source:
Intel released 3 versions I know of, each less crippled then the last. The B0 parts are useable. The A0 parts have a number of serious bugs.
How bad are the A0 parts?
What are the bugs?
Thanks in advance!
-Loren
