Hi, We have 2 IXP12EB evaluation kit for the IXP1200 processor. Was curious if anybody has ever done a feasibility study for doing TCP termination on the IXP. Theoretically it would seem that the Micro engines are an ideal choice for executing the TCP Fast Path code, while the ARM could run the Slow Path. Would appreciate any feedback if somebody did any work in this direction. Hi,
I have been working on a split implementation of reliable udp for the ixp's,
with same idea: fast path in uEngs and connection establishment, exceptions,
etc. in SA. I have a user and kernel level implementations of the split, and
am working on the arm code - however right now I do not have a complete
u-code of the fast path, so have not performed the feasibility analysis
yet, but should be close to those numbers as well.
