We at Tech are trying to debug some problems with our gigabit ports: they've seemed to stop working (sending and recv'ing) suddenly and there appears to be no reason for it. So, we decided to turn to the diagnositcs. We updated the diagnostics (b/c the old version has known gigabit problems) as per the release notes in SDK v1.3: we reinstalled the boot image boot1200.bin overwriting everything and installing Diagnostics v1.2.76. When we run the diagnostics, they fail on the gigabit tests; nothing is sent or received except in one case: if the first thing you do when you run the diagnostics is gigabit, internal loopback mode, run test continuously, then 16 packets are sent--after that nothing and if you go do something else (like an octal test or external loopback test) before you try this test, nothing happens.
