Problem with programming the flash
Hi All, I am currently trying to program IXP1200 flash with the Intel firmware. I am using flash burner equipment called Topmax which is from the company EEtools. Inspite of following the instructions as mentioned in the manual I am unable to write to the flash. Read from flash is successful, but writes are not happening. Have any of you faced a similar problem? Do I need to take some extra steps before writes are allowed? The device continuously makes attempts to write but in the end is unable to write anything. I have no specific advice. You can try: (1) make sure there are no bent pins on the device(s) (2) make sure that you are specifying the correct part number to the device programmer. (3) make sure the software for the programmer (if there is software) is up to date. In the end, you'll probably need to consult with EEtools.
