If you mean it licensing that stops chuck to support soundfonts through 
fluidsynth, I don't think so, it GNU Lesser General Public License. And 
since fluidsynth (to my surprise) is cross platform ("Linux, Mac OSX and 
Windows to name a few"), that's not the problem either.

Or am I misunderstanding your post?
