[ixp1200] I tried to connect one ethernet port of IXP1200 to one port of other IXP1200

Hi,
I tried to connect one ethernet port of IXP1200 to one port of other 
IXP1200 and tried to transmit a packet but the other IXP1200 is not 
receiving.Can anybody tell me how to transmit a apcket from one IXP1200 
port to the other IXP1200 port.
