[parsec-users] question about compiling parsec on Solaris machines

Hi there,

I'm now trying to use GESM to do some research on CMP issues, which is based
on Sun SPARC. After I went through most of the prior discussions and found
that the following benchmarks are now available for solaris machines
"blackscholes, bodytrack, fluidanimate, streamcluster, swaptions, vips and
x264 ". But when I tried to compile it on my solaris machine, benchmarks
"blackscholes" failed.

My local environment configuration:
Sun Solaris 10
gcc 4.2
g++ 4.2

And here comes the error messages for the failed benchmarks "blacksholes:
=========================
/soft/gcc-4.2/SunOS5.10/bin/g++ -O3 -funroll-loops -fprefetch-loop-arrays

/usr/ccs/bin/ld: illegal option -- rpath
/usr/ccs/bin/ld: illegal option -- rpath
=========================

Also I had problems compiling x264 and vips, but I do find the solutions for
x264 from the mailing list by *Javier Lira*, so I'll still trying to work on
those two benchmarks.

Any suggestion is highly appreciated. Also, could you guys tell me your
compiling environment?

Many thanks,

Guoqiang Yang
