[parsec-users] Ferret Error

Hi Ef,

You're right, it's Image Magick. Ferret uses Image Magick to load Jpeg
images. Image Magick in turn uses libjpeg for that. When you compiled Image
Magick it couldn't find libjpeg, so it disabled libjpeg support. That's why
you get the error message.

To fix the problem simply make sure you have libjpeg installed in your
system and that it is found by the Image Magick configure script during
build time.

Best,

Chris

Subject: [parsec-users] Ferret Error

Hello,

I compiled ferret using:
 parsecmgmt -a build -c gcc -p ferret
then I ran a test case using
 parsecmgmt -a run -c gcc -p ferret -i simsmall

And I get the following error:

[PARSEC] Running 'time
/home/ef/parsec-2.0/pkgs/apps/ferret/inst/x86_64-linux-linux.gcc/bin/ferret
corel lsh queries 10 20 1 output.txt':

Does anyone have any idea? My guess after doing a bit of googling is it has
to do with the Imagick library, but not sure why or how to fix it.

Thanks
EF
