[parsec-users] Using Parsec with gprof

Hi Felix,

First you should figure out how to use gprof with whatever application you'd
like to profile. After you know how to properly prepare and analyze one
application (can be a 'Hello World' program) you can use the same steps with
PARSEC. The easiest way is to modify the global build configurations in the
config/ directory to add the required compiler flags.

There's lots of good gprof tutorials online. To get the PARSEC tutorial that
explains how to modify the build configuration simply go to the PARSEC
website, it's in the 'Documentation' section.

Subject: [parsec-users] Using Parsec with gprof

I'm new to the Parsec benchmark suite (and to gprof), so I was wondering,
has anyone tried running parsec with gprof? Is so, could you give me some
directions on how to compile and run parsec with gprof?

I did read the gnu gprof documentation, but I'm still pretty confused.
