[parsec-users] specify num_threads to freqmine with pfmon

Hi,

The build configuration for freqmine contains a bug which causes freqmine to always be build as a serial program. Simply edit your build configuration and add the flag `-fopenmp' to the compiler arguments (assuming you are using gcc).

Best,
Chris

Betreff: [parsec-users] specify num_threads to freqmine with pfmon

Hi,

Sorry in advance if the question is too simple. But I cann't find a
solution with native.runconf.

I use the following command,both of them only create one thread.

/*******************************
export OMP_NUM_THREADS=8
pfmon --long-smpl-periods=1000000
-eINSTRUCTIONS_RETIRED,LAST_LEVEL_CACHE_MISSES
--smpl-outfile=results/freqmine/freqmine_8t_1M/freqmine_native_8t_AST_LEVEL_CACHE_MISSES.txt
--with-header --follow-all --reset-non-smpl --smpl-compact --
../../../parsec-2.1/pkgs/apps/freqmine/inst/amd64-linux.gcc/bin/freqmine
../../../parsec-2.1/pkgs/apps/freqmine/inputs/webdocs_250k.dat 11000
*******************************/
OR
/********************
OMP_NUM_THREADS=8 pfmon --long-smpl-periods=1000000
-eINSTRUCTIONS_RETIRED,LAST_LEVEL_CACHE_MISSES
--smpl-outfile=results/freqmine/freqmine_8t_1M/freqmine_native_8t_AST_LEVEL_CACHE_MISSES.txt
--with-header --follow-all --reset-non-smpl --smpl-compact --
../../../parsec-2.1/pkgs/apps/freqmine/inst/amd64-linux.gcc/bin/freqmine
../../../parsec-2.1/pkgs/apps/freqmine/inputs/webdocs_250k.dat 11000
********************/

could u tell me how to parallel freqmine with pfmon?

Thanks.
