Hi George,

That sounds like to syntax issue related to the missing flags for 'open'. Please apply all the patches from the PARSEC wiki and give it another try.

Best,
Chris

Subject: [parsec-users] Error building vips and dedup

Hi, I'm having problems compiling vips and dedup. I get similar error messages in both cases. The other packages compile just fine.

VIPS:

command:
$ ./parsecmgmt -a build -p vips

error:

In file included from /usr/include/fcntl.h:205,
from /home/gbezerra/parsec-2.1/bin/../pkgs/libs/libxml2/src/nanohttp.c:49:

/usr/include/bits/fcntl2.h:51: error: call to '__open_missing_mode' declared with attribute error: open with O_CREAT in second argument needs 3 arguments

DEDUP:

command:
$ ./parsecmgmt -a build -p dedup

error:

In file included from /usr/include/fcntl.h:205,
from util.h:11,
from decoder.c:1:
In function ‘open’,
inlined from ‘Reassemble’ at decoder.c:188:

/usr/include/bits/fcntl2.h:51: error: call to ‘__open_missing_mode’ declared with attribute error: open with O_CREAT in second argument needs 3 arguments

I'm using gcc-4.4.3 on Ubuntu 10.04, amd64.

Does any one know what the problem might be? Any help is highly appreciated.

Thanks,

George.
