[parsec-users] Creating new workloads

Hi Abhishek,

To add a new workload, we need to modify both global and local configuration files. Here is an example showing adding "myworkload" which uses "streamcluster" as a template:

Local config
1) copy "kernels/streamcluster" to "kernels/myworkload";

2) Replace "myworkload/src" with your source codes;

3) Replace string "streamcluster" with "myworkload" in all files in the "myworkload/parsec" directory;

4) Modify the "run_args=" in all *.runconf files;

Global config
5) cd to "parsec/config"

6) Modify the "parsec.conf" file, adding entries for "myworkload" where "streamcluster" occurs.
