Hi Abhishek,

This file is for generating random value. So I guess that the authors happened to pick up 127773L for generating random value.

Best Regards,
Yungang

Subject: [parsec-users] Identify the number format

Hi friends,

While going through the source code of swaptions, in a file called RanUnif.cpp, I found an instruction

k1 = ix/127773L;

Here what does the number 127773L means?

Also for other instructions:

ix = 16807L*( ix - k1*127773L ) - k1 * 2836L;
if (ix < 0) ix = ix + 2147483647L;

Please help me...

Thank You,
Abhishek R. Nath
