[parsec-users] "open" function problem

Hi Ronak,

it happened that yesterday I have also the same problem encountered. This is common error message for PARSEC building and can be confused to the beginner of PARSEC benchmark. Here is something useful information for such a problem.

Find the faulting file under the .../parsec-2.1/.../decorder.c and go to the offending line, in this case 188, 258, modify it as the following should work for you :-)

config_fd = open(filename,O_CREAT|O_RDWR|O_TRUNC);

to

config_fd = open(filename,O_CREAT|O_RDWR|O_TRUNC,0664);

This is probably caused by a strict way to use the function "open" by different versions of GCC.
