In 1.2.1.2 the devs add the note, "dac output no longer halved!", which would explain why you could output -2.0 to 2.0 before. It shouldn't still work in 1.2.1.2 and above, though--was this on an older build?
No, the version without the distortion is $ chuck-1.2.1.2 --version chuck version: 1.2.1.2 (dracula)
exe target: mac os x : universal binary
The one with it is
$ chuck --version chuck version: 1.2.1.3 (dracula) exe target: mac os x : universal binary
I have saved chuck version 1.2.1.2 as chuck-1.2.1.2, so that I can switch between them.
