I'm sure a 64-bit compatible ChucK would expand the linux user base by quite
a bit. I met someone this past weekend who doesn't use ChucK for the sole
reason that it doesn't run on his 64-bit machine.
Consider this 1.5 more votes for a 64-bit version?

That is unfortunate. I use chuck on 64studio (the 32bit version) and it's actually quite stable and quite fast on that optimized kernel that Free has built. I imagine a 64bit chuck would be nothing short of amazing.

The ChucK download page ( http://chuck.cs.princeton.edu/release/ ) doesn't mention that on Linux ChucK requires a 32 bit system (and not 64, right now).
I strongly suspect this to be the cause of confusion/segfaulting here; http://electro-music.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26414
(though I may be wrong)
I would recommend putting this "on the packaging" so we can go on to new and innovative ways of seg-faulting and being confused.
In case I'm wrong; do we have a Fedora-expert who might be able to help Flies there?
Yours, Kas.
