Hi I solved the mystery of why the emacs mode would indent randomly upon loading a file: tabs! If I change this: (setq default-tab-width 4) to (setq default-tab-width 4) (setq-default indent-tabs-mode nil) everything works well (espcially after getting rid of all tabs in all files and re-indenting them)... For completeness I attach the complete emacs mode... -- peace, love & harmony Atte http://www.atte.dk | quartet: http://www.anagrammer.dk http://www.atte.dk/gps | compositions: http://www.atte.dk/compositions
