Austen,

The CYCLE_CNT CSR (accessable from the IX Bus Interface Unit) can be used to
implement timing schemes. Have you taken a look at the cycle macros (found
in \IXP1200\Microcode\include\cycle.uc) for examples on how to access this
64-bit counter?

Subject: [ixp1200] Timer from microengines...

Im looking for a timer for use inside microcode (for network
protocol timeout). I know there is the timer from the arm but Ive heard
that the IX bus has some kind of timer that I might be able to tap into?
Does anyone know about this? Must I use the SA timer if I want to wait a
certain period of time?
