one of the webpages has code examples for current chuck and upcoming for chuck 2. i can't seem to locate any data on when this is to be released. i like version 1 so much i'll probably love v2.
Software development process has three variables - time, resources and
functionality. All three can not be constant at the same time. So the lack
of release date is a good sign - it shows that the plans are serious and
functionality is fixed. Was the time there, resources there (which you can't
add to late project anyway), quality would be variable and this would be
really bad for a major release ;)
I would like to get a link if you mention a site..

There's a third variable; the chance that Starcraft2 gets boring before the new Civilisation gets released. :-p Kas.
it was just the documentation url. http://chuck.cs.princeton.edu/doc/examples/ it talks about upcoming examples for features introduced in v2. On 9/3/2010 6:36 PM, Tambet wrote:

I think this might refer to a "v2" of the examples, not of ChucK. The wording is indeed a bit confusing. On the bright side; I quickly skimmed a random sampling and everything I saw should work with your current version. As long as you have 1.2.1.3 (the current one) installed you should be fine and able to run them, change them, get better noises and/or interesting errors. So, in a way the V2 that you would love is here already for you to enjoy Yours, Kas.
