compilation with -march=athlon-xp

Hi, I have tried to compile chuck with the option "-march=athlon-xp". It compiles fine but on the runtime when I try to remove a shred, chuck crashes whith this error: *** glibc detected *** double free or corruption (!prev): 0x085c2988 *** I find that happens in Chuck_VM_Stack::shutdown() on the line SAFE_DELETE_ARRAY( stack ); So when I compile without this flag, it works well ! Is there anybody who has an idea of what happens ? Thanks Cédric Krier

chuck/miniAudicle, intel mac

Hi! We've been getting reports of audio not working in the miniAudicle on intel macs, using the universal binary. The folks that have been building chuck from source on intel macs seems to have been successful in getting audio. Has anyone had any success/problems with the chuck universal binary on intel mac? None of us here actual have an intel mac to test with, so we have been relying on external reports. If you have an intel mac and have tried to run/compile chuck/miniAudicle on it, can you post what worked/failed? In particular, we are interested in: --- which program was tried? (chuck, miniAudicle, or both) did it run at all? (yes/no) was there real-time audio? (yes/non) where did the executable originate? Hi! Quick memo: To avoid confusion, building chuck on os x has been split into make osx-ppc and make osx-intel CVS and the distribution have been updated. Also documentation. (The 'make osx' command should now return an error.) Best, Ge!

--bufsize under windows XP

Greetings! Windows XP users (again): On our XP systems (ever since 1.2.0.4) there have been real-time audio problems when setting --bufsize to 1024 or greater. Can anyone else confirm this? To test this: > chuck --bufsize1024 foo.ck (where foo.ck is something that sounds fine with --bufsize256 or 512) What about bigger buffer sizes? We noticed this was causing audio interruptions in 1.2.0.4, after we switched to RtAudio 3.2.0. Under XP, this allowed much lower buffer sizes and hence better lantencies, but it seemed to disfavor buffer sizes greater or equal to 1024. It could be ChucK doing something dumb in interfacing with RtAudio, but it's weird this only happens for bufsize >= 1024 on XP... Thoughts? Thanks!! Best, Ge!
