New audio programming environment released

Dear ChucK users, I just released my own new audio programming environment. It draws some inspiration from ChucK, but really throws a lot of well-established concepts in the world of real-time audio programming out of the window: first and foremost the patch graph and the audio/control-rate dualism. All number crunching is in a Lua, so a dynamic scripting language. It's made possible by LuaJIT, ie. JIT compilation. Hard to explain really, without a lot of prose. Documentation is still lacking. My master's thesis about this project will be released soon as well, but it will be in Russian. Anyway, I think this little project is at least a fun experiment. Whether it will really change anything in the world of audio programming is questionable. Hello chuckians, I'd like to experiment using a HID device (wireless logitech keyboard) to send midi CC events,OSC etc. But Chuck does not see my keyboard. chuck --probe reports all sorts devices as keyboards like headphones and mics but no logitech keyboard. The strange thing is that the mouse works and on a keyboard with a trackpad but I cannot open the keyboard on the same device. New version of ChucK VSCode extension

Hey all! I've just updated my VSCode extension https://marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName=forrcaho.chuck . I never realized that playing the file in the editor never worked under Windows; now it does. Syntax highlighting has been fixed to work with 1.5.x (I should make it clear, it's broken under older versions of chuck; I didn't see a great demand for backwards compatibility). That's something that also never worked under Windows, but now does. The syntax checking is turned off by default, because if you have multi-file projects you'll get syntax errors about things defined in a file meant to be included earlier with Machine.add at runtime. (I'm soliciting ideas about how to fix this!) Oh, yeah, I updated the syntax highlighting so Chugraph is recognized and Chubgraph no longer is. Please give it a spin, let me know if you have issues, and leave ratings/reviews on the VSCode Marketplace site if you like it.

faust chugin compile errors

Hi all I compiled the latest (chuck-1.5.1.2) and chugins on linux , but the faust chugin thows an error when compiling. (If you are current NOT working with Github for chuck, miniAudicle, or chunity, please feel free to ignore the rest of these message.) Dear all, The Great ChucK Repo Cleanup of 2023 has been completed! As a result, the overall chuck repo size has been reduced from 721MB to 25MB -- since git works by cloning the entire repo and all history, this massively improves the speed of 'git clone', 'git submodule update --init' in repos that reference chuck, and the size of each cloned repo on disk. To accomplish this, we had to "rewrite the git history," which is a semi-cataclysmic process for git repos. As a result, all existing clones of the chuck, miniAudicle, and chunity repos as well as branches and outstanding pull-requests that reference the older repo *** are now invalid ***. Hello, I tried building the 1.5.0.0 tag of chugins on my M1 Mac and the architectures don't match $ chuck -v3 ... midi sequencer in chuck

Hi I'm revisiting my chuck sequencer after trying java for a bit. I can play a file, now. But I want to seek to a particular measure, start and stop at random times, break out of a loop over some bars, and other kinds of conducting. SO Ive loaded the tracks in an array but the times are converted to deltas Making seeking difficult. I think I need to implement a midi clock and somehow "send" the time to the track sporks or something. Perhaps there is something in the upcomping realease that will help? I do my arranging in lilypond and long term id like to explore "players" that modify the events slightly, adding velocity,swing, vibrato, etc and be able to conduct that in real time.
