getting ADSR::XTime()

Hi list, I'm afraid there is a bug on the getters side of the ADSR UGen. One can set adsr::attackTime( 10::ms ) and gets adsr::attackTime() as 0.010::samp, instead of (0.010*SR)::samp. So, to be able to use adsr::attackTime() => now correctly, one should do: adsr::attackTime()*sr => now Which I don't think is the way one would expect. Intercepting and Routing Audio

Hi again, I would like to intercept the output of iTunes on my eMac and send it into ChucK so I can use the Ambiophonic Processor that Howard Moscovitz of the forum wrote, then send that to the dac. Can I do this with a freeware package of some sort, and is it something to add to the feature request list of ChucK? It sure seems like the sort of thing that one should be able to do. Les

Quick Joystick Question

Hi, I just have a quick question for planning my HID project. Does the ChucK joystick HID interface support all six joystick axes? I saw that one of the examples on the web page uses four axes, so I believe the answer to be "yes", but I need to be certain. Thanks, Les Hall

Bouncing Baby Website

Hi yet again, I would like to announce the birth of a bouncing baby website, my Guitar Motion Sensor project site. You may recall me writing at least one long, excited email about my plans to do a guitar HID project. Well, I'm getting really close to buying the parts and out of frustration waiting for finances to line up plus a desire to share the knowledge, I created a three-page website with all of my plans and reasoning about the project. The url is here: http://www.freedomodds.com/music/gms.html Actually after consulting forum contributors, especially Kassen, I have the hardware boiled down to two circuit boards that will cost $35 each, and a mere five solder connections. Then I'll mount the gizmo on my guitar's headstock and run a long USB cable down the length of the guitar and to the computer. I tried to be humorous and light-hearted in my writing style so people would enjoy reading it. I'd appreciate any comments about the site especially regarding project construction details or possible gotchas / errors. Plus I'll note that my website traffic has more than doubled in the few days since I put the site up, so I believe that people are interested in guitar effects HID. Making the world a better place via ChucK - kinda feels good, eh? Cheers! Les

Thanks folks, Jack wouldn't run on my machine, it quit unexpectedly when I tried to run it. Perhaps I need an older version of the software for my 10.3.9 OSX, but anyway SoundFlower is working great! WooHoo, now I can even do effects processing of audio from iTunes! Les

STK Modulate -- does it work?

Hello, Wondering if someone can explain STK Modulate to me; I just don't seem to get it! The code below is just a little test to try and figure it out -- works as expected if you comment out all the Modulate related bits, but as is, makes a muddy hum... Chorus.modDepth broken?

Hi It seems to me that the modDepth of chorus doesn't work, depth is always very deep, it has some effect on the sound, but very subtle and not at all what I expected. webcam and touch

Hi all Thinking of support for webcams, would it not be a good idea to integrate touchlib within chuck utilities? http://www.nuigroup.com/touchlib/ I do not know if this library is adequate, but the things I've seen do with it are very good. I think it would be a good utility for HID! What do you think? (perhaps an observation misplaced) Greetings Lucas

The main ChucK site at Princeton: http://chuck.cs.princeton.edu/ New left coast ChucK mirror at Stanford: http://chuck.stanford.edu/ These are synchronized from the same repository and should contain identical content. Forgive me if this is common knowledge; I have not found any references in my searching... The SmirK page indicates that ChucK 1.2.1.2 is required; I have not seen this version available for download as of yet. Is there a repository somewhere? Thanks, Chris
