I think this error has been documented here before; the problem is in line 24, the for loop. MIDI Forwarding?

All, I was looking at Ableton to do this, but I think I may be able to achieve a cheaper and better solution using ChucK ... I want to forward MIDI messages from a USB-MIDI keyboard, through a computer, to a hardware synth that has the standard MIDI in/out ports. My keyboard does MIDI over USB, but has no standard MIDI ports, so I can't plug it directly into a synth, but if I were to use a USB MIDI interface on my computer, could I interface the keyboard to the synth that way, using ChucK as a go-between? It'd be a simple matter of opening the MIDI in from the keyboard, and then just copying those messages to the MIDI out of the interface, I'm thinking... - Johnathan

Hello, my first post here, so please excuse me if I'm doing something wrong. I installed the latest version of chuck on my 10.7 system, and I am facing this issue: go-vegan:basic Jonas$ chuck demo0.ck [chuck]: (via rtaudio): no devices found for given stream parameters: ... RtApiCore: No supported sample rates found for OS-X device (Apple Inc.: Built-in Output). ... RtApiCore: No supported sample rates found for OS-X device (Apple Inc.: Built-in Input). My sample rate is 44100, and I didn't change it since the Snow Leopard (where ChucK worked without any problem). Anyone else having this problem? Or can think of solution? Regards, Jonas

Chuck in OSX Lion

Hi everybody, I've been using Chuck for a couple of weeks, it's great! I compiled version 1.2.1.3 on Snow Leopard 1.6.8, and everything worked perfectly. Yesterday I upgraded to Lion (bold move, I know), and what I get compiling a simple program which always work is: ... RtApiCore: No supported sample rates found for OS-X device (Apple Inc.: Built-in Output). ... RtApiCore: No supported sample rates found for OS-X device (Apple Inc.: Built-in Microphone). ... RtApiCore: No supported sample rates found for OS-X device (Apple Inc.: Built-in Input). [chuck]: cannot initialize audio device (try using --silent/-s) Furthermore, this is what I get with the command --probe: [chuck]: found 3 device(s) ... [chuck]: ------( chuck -- dac1 )--------------- [chuck]: device name = "Apple Inc.: Built-in Microphone" [chuck]: probe [failed] ...
