Routing stereo sound file to dac channels

Dear chuckians… This is bizarre… I was sure I have done this in the past, but it isn’t working and now I’m a bit flummoxed…. Any ideas here? PS: I’m trying to route channels 0 and 1 of a stereo .wav file to dac channels 2 and 3. Should be simple. So why doesn’t this work?? I realize that I could just spit it into mono files… but why? CoreAudio Error

My output works fine. However, my input does not connect properly.

hey Casper thanks! I think the issue may also be in the statement if (i%iMax > jCount ) 0.0 =>s.gain; which is not the same as if (now%iMax > jCount ) 0.0 =>s.gain; because I don't think "now" increments at the same rate as i (I wonder if now increments one sample at a time, rather than .1 ms at a time, then they become equivalent, thus your fix.). Anyway, not sure--haveto try this at home. two similar shreds with different results

Hey folks, I'm puzzled why these two shreds don't make the same sound. I created a simple bit crusher using an integer as an index and then using time as an index; I thought these were equivalent but they aren't. I wonder if this is because the integer increments at a different rate than the sampling rate? Any guidance on this gratefully received! Fauck Issues

I didn’t look at the verbose log, but it looks like maybe it can’t find the chugin. I’ve been having some trouble getting command line chuck to find the factory chugins. One way seems to be to have the .chug in the local directory, and specify it on the command line. Prc Sent from my iPhone

Hello Chuck users (and gurus). This is my first message to the list. I'm a complete newbie, but I think I would enjoy using miniAudicle with the Faust chugin (FaucK). So It could be a question for developers. I'm an experienced Linux user. I compiled ChucK 1.4.0.0, the latest and greatest Faust, all the chugins (including FaucK) and miniAudicle. Unfortunately, FaucK give me this error (on the command line and with miniAudicle): chuck examples/flute.ck [flute.ck]:line(5): undefined type 'Faust'... [flute.ck]:line(5): ... in declaration ... Hi folks, when running the code linked below I get this error message: [chuck](via STK): DelayL: setDelay(1173.42) too big! FYI here's the code: https://github.com/charliekramer/ChucK/blob/master/WIP%20call%20and%20respo… It's weird because I'm not using DelayL in my code (but I guess it's in one of the STK models--I'm using Saxofony and Bowed). The message seems innocuous--it seems to continue running fine. It doesn't occur right away but after the code's been running for a little while. Just curious if I'm doing something weird. I'm running it on a MacBook Air with Mojave 10.14.2. Thanks! Charlie

Why is my code doing this?

Sorry, I tried to come up with a more hello-world example of the problem I'm experiencing, but I really don't know what's going on so I have to post something a bit complex. My ChucK code is here: https://gist.github.com/forrcaho/21acdb25e05a8620f56dba591cd52ed5 I have a class called AdditivePartial and one called Additive which contains an array of AdditivePartial objects. The Additive objects play method sporks the play method for all its partials. The first Additive object I create appears to ignore the noteAmplitude I have set; it is pegged and clipping. That is, until the second Additive object is sporked, at which point the first object suddenly "remembers" it's noteAmplitude. I've looked at the output in Sonic Visualiser and that confirmed this is what's happening, at least on my linux machine. Can anyone reproduce this behavior, or does it work for you? If you can reproduce it, what the heck is going on? Forrest
