Hi, We are in the process of installing the IXP2400 based development board (ENP2611) referring the IXA Education Workstation Setup Guide. We have installed all the software as per the following procedure: 1. Installed Redhat Linux 7.3 in one PC. 2. Installed Windows2000 in the second PC. 3. Installed IXASDK3.51 in the Linux machine. 4. Installed the Montavista Preview Kit. 5. In the Windows machine, we have installed the IXASDK3.51, IXASDK3.51 Firmware and Drivers, IXASDK Software Framework 3.51. We are able to simulate some sample programs. 6. We have plugged in the ENP2611 board in the Linux machine. On switching on the host PC, we observed that display and keyboard is not active, We assume the system is not booting when the board is plugged into the system. We also observed that the ENP2611 board is getting powered on and communicating with the Windows based machine through the serial link. (We are getting the display on the windows machine in the hyperterminal as �Redboot >�. 7. It was also observed that on removal of ENP2611 board from the linux host, the PC works properly. hi its easy to do wat you want load the project as u do in the sdk simulator after that go the debug menu and select the hardware after that goto the hardware options menu and define the ports its 0-7 for IXP1200 --------------------------------- Love cheap thrills? IXP 1200 guidance reqd

This is with ref to IXP 1200. The Layer 3 forwarding code given in the examples is working fine on hardware. But the chapter 9 bridging code, as well as the subsequent modifications we have done on this code, fail to work in hardware. Are we missing some module which needs to be taken care of ? kindly guide us. Regards, Himanshu Shringarpure, IIT Bombay.
